Harshita Rao, a U-Ambassador from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, organized a session to spread awareness about U-Report India, a digital platform that enables young people to voice their opinions and take action on issues that matter to them. The session was held at the NSS unit of Government Geetanjali Girls Autonomous College, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, with the help of NSS volunteers. About 40 students participated in the session, which was also attended by Junior Nupur Sondhiya, an NSS state and national camper.
Harshita gave a comprehensive introduction to U-Report India, explaining how the portal can be useful for youth to engage with current and relevant topics such as climate change, personal hygiene, mission life, skill development, and more. She also discussed the benefits of earning U-Points by participating in these activities, such as receiving national and international certificates and getting opportunities to work at a wider level.
The participants were enthusiastic about U-Report India and registered themselves using the refer ID provided by Harshita. They also expressed their interest in inviting more people to join the platform. Harshita answered their questions and concluded the session with a dialogue.
The session had a positive impact on the youth, who were eager to earn more U-Points and make a difference in their society. Harshita’s initiative was a commendable example of how U-Ambassadors can promote U-Report India and empower young people to become active citizens.
