Rajendra Kumar Yadav, a dedicated volunteer from Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district, has been actively engaged with NYKS for four years, notably contributing to UNICEF's COVID vaccination campaign. In recognition of his tireless efforts, he received a certificate and medal from Mr. Job Zachariah, Chief of UNICEF Chhattisgarh, and was honored as the leader of the Bilaspur district delegation in the National Youth Parliament Festival. Recently, Rajendra collaborated with the NSS unit of SBT College in Bilaspur as a U-Ambassador, successfully persuading NSS Program Officer Mukesh Kumar Soni to join U-Report India, supported by UNICEF. The initiative saw 82 NSS Volunteers and Mr. Soni participating, with over 15 individuals signing up as U-Reporters on October 7, 2023.
During his interaction, Rajendra highlighted the wealth of resources available through the U-Report India chatbot, covering areas such as Mental Health, Climate Change, and English. He encouraged youth to engage in campaigns, particularly those focused on environmental issues. Rajendra also shed light on the youth engagement platform, revealing that more than 28 lakh Indian youth had already joined U-Report India. His unwavering dedication stands as a testament to grassroots advocacy's spirit, inspiring positive change and collective impact in his community and beyond.
