Gaurav Dawar: An exemplary U-Ambassador
In a world where young minds often strive to make a difference, Gaurav Dawar stands out as a shining example of what can be achieved through dedication, perseverance, and a passionate drive to spread awareness. On the 7th of October 2023, Gaurav organized his very first campaigning event, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.
This event was all about the U-Report India Programme, which is proudly sponsored by UNICEF. Gaurav's mission was clear - to spread awareness everywhere about this invaluable program. The task at hand, though, was not as straightforward as it might seem. Gaurav had to overcome several challenges, beginning with convincing the "Prayatna - School of Excellence NGO" to host his session on the spot. He had to swiftly set up all the necessary arrangements, secure some precious interaction time with the students, and, of course, persuade the NGO to accommodate his event.
Undeterred by the obstacles in his path, Gaurav powered through. His event unfolded at the "Prayatna - School of Excellence NGO," with support from the NGO itself. The founder of the organization, Mr. Praneet Sushil, and key staff members, Mr. Naveen and Mr. Inderjeet, were there to lend their support.
A remarkable 40 students, all aged between 15 and 20 years, attended Gaurav's event. Their enthusiastic response was a testament to the impact he was making. They not only enjoyed the session but expressed a desire to learn more and share their newfound knowledge with their friends. Their excitement was infectious, and they were eager to engage more friends in the U-Report India cause.
The true measure of success was the number of young minds that signed up as U-Reporters. Following the session, ten students eagerly joined the U-Report, pledging to bring even more friends into the fold. Gaurav's dedication had sparked a movement that promised to grow and flourish.
At the heart of the event was the promotion of U-Report India. Gaurav delivered a comprehensive introduction to the program, including its background, objectives, and advantages. He drew parallels with FunDoo and Climate change, shedding light on how U-Report could make a significant difference. He explained the incentives and benefits of being part of U-Report India, planting the seeds for positive change in the hearts and minds of the attendees.

His first campaigning event was not just a success but a testament to his unwavering determination to make the world a better place. Second Campaign
In his second campaign at GD Goenka University, Gaurav Dawar took the initiative to introduce U-Report India to his friends, successfully enlisting 13 new U-Reporters in the process. His spontaneous approach in reaching out to his peers led to an engaging conversation where they expressed their interest and asked for more information. Gaurav showcased a presentation about the U-Report India program, addressing the challenge of capturing their attention and building their curiosity. Inspired by the platform's potential, his friends pledged to share the opportunity with others, aiming to create a collective learning environment and combat the spread of misinformation on social media while encouraging productive activities.
Third Campaign
On the 16th of October 2023, Gaurav Dawar conducted his third campaign, engaging with a small group of 10 students from the Department of Education at GDGU. During this session, Gaurav passionately discussed U-Report India, providing insights into its background, functionality, benefits, and the numerous opportunities it offers. With the students' active participation and eagerness, they not only joined U-Report India but also collaborated effectively to make the session a success. One of the main challenges Gaurav faced was igniting the students' interest in the program and maintaining their focus. However, he managed to capture their attention when he mentioned that U-Report India opens doors to attending both national and international events. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning, stating, "The more you learn, the more you gain." Gaurav underscored the unique role of U-Report India as a platform for voicing opinions and suggestions directly to the United Nations and the Government of India on critical issues like climate change and other societal concerns. In closing, he encouraged the students to become part of this program and to share the opportunity with their friends, fostering collective learning and advocacy for positive change.
